Optimistic…Yes! drive more results.

Image Credit: First Citizens Bank (Small Business Survey) I just looked over a survey that came in today from First Citizens Bank’s small business survey they recently conducted. I ponder many of these results like why did they start a business and what was the millennials main motivation. But the key one I want to focus on is the graphic above. There is a high level of optimism in the short term growth and 43% are looking to expand their advertising and marketing budgets. This brought my thoughts back to my previous article on budgets. It really doesn’t matter whether you are in the 43% or the 57% side of the marketing and advertising budget decision. The most important part for you is getting the most with your spend. First start with why. Once you understand the why then move to how to define it and how to measure it. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your business or have many years under your belt you are always looking for better results. I have no idea if I can help you, but I am open for a conversation and am willing to share. Contact me if you want to have that conversation. The full survey can be found here. Charles...

Top 3 Reasons Why You NEED Business Cards In 2016

Top 3 Reasons Why You NEED Business Cards In 2016

There are many rumors that print media is slowly fading away with all the new technology being offered. But that’s not the case. Business cards are not just tiny tangible items, they are the key to first impressions. Here are just a few reasons why you should still be using them in the digital age.   1. Lack of Nearby Resources  It’s hard enough trying share your business line with the potential client you just connected with at Starbucks, especially when those resources aren’t around. Handing them a business card will ensure they get all your information.   2. Special Event Swapping information digitally can be impersonal. Business cards are suppose to be your first impression on a potential client. You don’t want to ruin that by coming off as unprofessional. Always be prepared!   3. Time Crunch You never know when you could be at the grocery store, a bar or even a dentist appointment and you spark up a conversation about your brand with a stranger. In these situations, you might not have time to pull out your phone and save their contact info. Business cards were designed for people on the go!   Before you swear off print forever, consider the facts. We will still be carrying business cards for many years to come.   Steele Creek Printing can help! Direct Mail Campaign Success

As we move forward in today’s social media environment, we cannot forget that getting direct and personal is not  a wasted effort. Direct mail campaigns, done correctly,  can catch the potential client’s eye and draw them into a call to action. Five tips to help your direct mail campaign succeed: 1. Cultivate the perfect list and craft targeted messaging. Make every piece count. Identify your target audience and create a message to fit each target appropriately. Continually refining your data for more campaigns, to create successful future campaigns. 2. Personalize content and be personal. With digital printing it is easier than ever to personalize a mail piece. Use their name, their company, interest and any relevant information in your data base for a responsive campaign. 3. Be specific with your call to action, and focus on just one. Be clear about your call to action, make it easy for the potential client to see and want to pursue.  4. Include a way to track performance, then test and measure what works. Ensure that your efforts are not wasted on your campaign. Make sure to include text or a number on your direct mail piece so that you can track your campaign performance. A good way to do this is to include a promotional code or to ask “How did you learn about us?”.  5. Continually optimize and be consistent with direct mail efforts. Going back to number one, you want to continually refine your data for each campaign. Prepare, Test, Measure, Analyze, Modify and Repeat. These steps are to ensure a successful direct mail piece campaign. Our sales reps are well versed in what it takes to make a successful direct mail campaign.  Want to learn more?  Give us a call or drop us an e-mail – we can show you ways to make your direct mail campaign a great success!
