I just looked over a survey that came in today from First Citizens Bank’s small business survey they recently conducted. I ponder many of these results like why did they start a business and what was the millennials main motivation. But the key one I want to focus on is the graphic above. There is a high level of optimism in the short term growth and 43% are looking to expand their advertising and marketing budgets. This brought my thoughts back to my previous article on budgets. It really doesn’t matter whether you are in the 43% or the 57% side of the marketing and advertising budget decision. The most important part for you is getting the most with your spend. First start with why. Once you understand the why then move to how to define it and how to measure it. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting your business or have many years under your belt you are always looking for better results.
